Planning for a bridal shower party is never easy, so here are several tips and ideas to guide you on your way.
1. In bridal showers, age never matters. In fact, mixing women of different generations make things merrier so do your best to invite women of all ages to your bridal shower party. Having such guests will also give the bride a chance to learn practical tips and ideas about the changes married life will cause.
2. Be very careful about the words you speak and the activities you’ve chosen for the event if you’ve got a multicultural set of guests. What may seem like harmless fun to you may be perceived as offensive by others.
3. Invite your guests to the party at least two weeks prior to the event. It’s also better to schedule the party at night – preferably on weekends – to ensure that even guests with busy careers or businesses will be available to come as well. Don’t forget to ask the guests to RSVP.
4. The role of the host is very integral to the success of the bridal shower party so make sure you choose someone appropriate. If there’s no choice for you but to go with an inexperienced one, make sure that you share with her tips and ideas about what she should and shouldn’t do.
5. Bridal showers tend to be filled with activities so it wouldn’t do at all to serve your guests with a heavy meal. Serve finger foods instead and make sure that you provide them with a ready supply of drinks. Serving liquor is fine, but make sure that you stay on the lookout for guests who are near intoxication. Things can always get ugly when a person drinks too much.
6. Before getting on with your itinerary of activities, allow the guests to mingle for half an hour at most while serving cocktails. During this period, it’s best that you gather at guests in a room or place where there are no seats or various tables around which will allow guests to segregate into groups.

Planning a stagette party for a bride-to-be is a great way for the bride and her friends to blow off some steam and get a little wild before the big day. If you’re planning a stagette party, there are tons of great and original stagette party ideas.
Stagette Party or Bridal Shower?
There is a big difference here, a bachelorette party usually gets a little more wild and is also a girls night out event. A bridal shower is traditionally a more formal event. The stagette party is the girls version of the stag party. The bachelorette party has only developed as a popular event in the last 20 or 30 years.
Bachelorette party ideas
While the bachelor parties are traditionally about freedom, getting drunk and going to the strip clubs for the guys, a stagette party is more about the bride-to-be bonding with female friends. Many brides do choose a night of frivolity, such as male exotic dancers and lots of booze. A general theme is usually about having fun and sharing the evening with great friends. When it comes to deciding on the Bachelorette party games, it is advised to involve the bride-to-be and find out exactly what she likes and enjoy doing. Start there, then look at your options based on her desires.
Bachelorette party locations
Stagette parties can take place at the home of the bride-to-be or the person throwing the party for her. A community hall can also be rented for the night, where you can bring all the alcohol, games, movies or entertainment you need. Hiring a limousine to get the group to and from places is also great idea for transportation. Restaurants often have private rooms that can be reserved for parties. Spa retreats have become quite popular as Bachelorette party themes. Enjoy a full day of relaxing facials, massages, hot stone massages and many other treatments. A nightclub is one if the more popular locations at the end of the night.
Some other great Bachelorette party games would be to get Exotic Dancing lessons. This is a little more on the wild side and would have to be something the bride would actually do. These classes are getting very popular and are popping up even in health clubs or can be done in a private home too.
Stagette party ideas : The Vegas Trip
When anyone talks about bachelorette parties, Vegas usually comes up at some point. The first thing that also comes up in this conversation is “How much is that going to be”. This is probably considered by most as the big time for stagette parties. Why? Because everything goes there. There is a huge list of VIP services you can get for Vegas bachelorettes, everything from the most lavish tours to the dirtiest night you can imagine. Lets be a little reasonable instead… forget the dirty dives. When it comes to Las Vegas stagette party ideas, you will need a lot more lead time and planning. Getting the entire group to go is also tricky and needs some planning too. A Budget is also required for a larger group and the more group rates you can find, the better. You will need at least $1500 + for each person , if you are flying there, if you are within driving distance, then your costs will go down. A typical weekend party starts on Thursday night, or Friday morning, to Sunday night. Most flight and hotel packages will be like this too. If your group can’t afford it, then drop it, don’t push it. If you can afford, it is a great time, do it. You can hire a VIP service to plan the entire trip, or just one day. You can also find great tour companies to get you into the best tours, night club or skydiving tours is just a start.
Bachelorette party themes
With any location or event you decide to do for the party, you can always supplement it with a theme. Start with an embarrassing outfit for the bride-to-be, a girls night out kit, beads and crazy glasses, the list is long, use your imagination. And if you don’t have one, hit up a few party favor stores or some online shops for some other Stagette ideas. If you want to make it a full theme, then everyone attending will have to get dressed up in the same theme or outfit. You can rent them ( get insurance ) or make them yourself. It can be as cheap and simple as everyone wearing the same t-shirt, to full costumes.
Bachelorette party food
Planning the food for your the bachelorette party is not always necessary if you are going out to restaurants or clubs. However, if you are having a party at a private house, hall or meeting room, then you might need to plan the food and beverages to serve. You can have it catered, which is the easiest and least stressful to plan. Cooking and bringing all the food yourself is a little tougher, but still workable. You can even get a theme cake from local shops and stores, the list is endless. Make sure to arrange your alcoholic beverages and/or a bartender if needed.

I am the maid of honor, and I want to do something REALLY special for the bride. She has already told me on numerous occasions that she does not want strippers, or the usual bachlorette party. I want to do an all day event, but I just don’t know! I would love to do a spa day, but that can be very expensive when there are about 10-12 girls! Something creative and something she would never think of! I want this to be something she will never forget! Even if you can suggest a really cool theme, I would love it! Oh! And if you have any fun games or something, that would be fun too! Thank you!

What is a good bachelorette party idea?

I need an idea for a good bachelorette party where most of the invitees are over 21 but one of them is only 18. She is the bride’s sister and cannot be left out of the festivities, but this counts out heading out to the bars to have a good time. Also, none of us are really interested in getting/seeing a stripper.

Any ideas that would specifically work for the Baltimore area would be greatly appreciated, but any general ideas would also be great.

Zander Boon asked:
So, the man you thought was your best friend has really stitched you up. There you were, out for a quiet drink, taking it easy, relaxing, and then he pops the question. He wants you to be his best man! What can you do? You can hardly say no, but you know that there’s a lot more to the job than just getting a few guys drunk and into a few strip joints. Let’s run through a few things you can do when organising the Bachelor Party/Stag Night/Bucks Party, to make sure it’s a great night out!
The Urban Myth is that every guy who gets married ends his stag night naked, either a) handcuffed to a lamp post, or b) on an express train to somewhere Far, Far Away. In my experience, this is actually very rare, but it is your duty to arrange a few embarrassing moments for the groom.
Now, you might want to hire a stripper, but tread carefully. Do you really know your best friend? Some guys think it’s great. Some guys don’t. One good idea is to give the Best Man a set of tasks to do. You know, things like: wear his trousers back to front; obtain an item of female underwear; have your photo taken wearing a fast-food employee’s silly hat; walk backwards between each bar; run on the spot while ordering the drinks.
The most important thing to think about is the venue for your event. Don’t just hope you can leave a bar at 1pm and get into a nightclub - most doormen take a dim view of large, staggering groups of young men trying to get into their club. Play it smart - get there early, and go in in twos and threes. Oh, and if you’re in the USA, make sure everyone has their ID!
A lot of people these days organise a stag week-end away somewhere. This can be a great idea, but takes even more planning. Whether your in the US, and heading for Vegas or New Orleans, or you’re in the UK and flying off to Amsterdam or Prague, you’ll be amazed how hard it is to get a group of five or more guys to arrive at the right place, at the right time, with the right clothes, some cash, and their tickets.
Make sure you take a camera with you. Now, you probably don’t want to take your $1000 Digital SLR on this sort of event, but you could always buy a couple of disposable cameras that you can buy in Wal-Mart or online for a few bucks each. You can probably get a whole load of them, and keep some for the wedding itself.
