party idea
Damian asked:

Independence Day falls on the 4th July and is a time to celebrate our independence from the dastardly British. Why not celebrate this year with a party to impress your friends, family and neighbours? Have a look at my 4th July party ideas:

1. We start with the invitations. Why not send out your invites on small American flags, either in the post or hand delivered! They will love you for your patriotic and well thought out idea!

2. State on your invitations (in a non jokey way) that if anyone turns up not wearing red, white and blue then they will be charged on the door!

3. One idea you should consider is hiring out a pavillion if your local park has them!

4. Get some face paints so the kids can paint American flags on each others faces.

5. Line the walkway to your property, or pavillion with small American flags.

6. Use large American flags for the front of your property or venue. Hang it from the flag pole if you have one.

7. Get plenty of ****** guns, have two teams and fill the guns with red or blue water for a fun patriotic game.

8. For later, make sure you have patriotic red, white and blue fireworks.

9. Of course your food should be all American. For starters have watermellon and you can have a seed spitting contest.

10. You should have a BBQ whether you have hired a pavillion or not. Burgers, sausages and chicken etc.

11. Bake an American flag cake, using strawberries and blueberries for the stars and stripes.

12. Apple pie should be any Americans number 1 choice for desert. Also gelatin deserts are easy to make and come in red and blue.

13. Cause a stir at your 4th July party by turning up as a British redcoat. Consider hiring out a Captain America outfit or buying a founding Father costume!
